Frost Library hosts a separate Book Club for 3rd, 4th and 5th Graders every year. Here’s how it works:
- Students will receive a letter from the library inviting them to join the book club as well as an opportunity to purchase the book through Frost Library at a discounted price.
- Once a student joins the book club, he/she will have 2 to 3 weeks (depending on the length of the book) to read the book on his/her own.
- After reading the book, Book Club members will then be invited to attend a Book Club Party in the library where we will discuss the book, play games and win prizes.
- Students must have read the book in its entirety in order to be eligible to attend the Book Club Party.
- Book Club members have an opportunity to earn up to 5 stickers for their reading chart by (1) Reading the entire book (2) Attending the Book Club Party (3) Participating in an online discussion using Edmodo while reading the book (4) Completing a reading activity on the book and turning it in to the library.
