What a treat! 3rd, 4th and 5th grade Frost students were introduced to Cassie Beasley, a 2016 Bluebonnet Award nominee! She talked about what authors do (read a lot, write a lot, edit, edit and edit some more!). She shared her favorite books (Unusual Chickens for the Exceptional Poultry Farmer by Kelly Jones, A long Way from Chicago by Richard Peck, and Roller Girl by Victoria Jamieson). She read a passage from her book Circus Mirandus (see below video) and she led the students in creating their own crazy story. Thanks to L.E.A.F.
